The hull was delivered June15,
2005. It's a 45' MDI and will be used to build a lobster boat. |
Stainless Steel steering rams and stainless
steel fittings on all the hoses should last for the life of
the boat. |
Double bunks on this lobster boat are more about storage
than sleeping, and these should provide plenty of storage
space |
The 800hp
CAT will push the 45' MDI at a very nice cruising speed. |
Two large below deck holding areas are set up for wet storage
but will be primarily used to store rope. |
Construction on the wheelhouse and visor is underway. |
Once the construction of the wheelhouse is finished the
boat can start being completed. |
This area of the outside hauling station will contain throttle
controls, hauler handle, and compass. |
Battery box ahead of the main bulkhead, this boat will
have to be wired for 24 and 12 volt. |
Three fiberglass steps from the wheelhouse to the forward
cabin. |
The four deck hatches give access to the two below deck
tanks, the lazerette, and the engine room. |
This corner has two Delta T vents to supply air to the
engine. The plumbing fittings top to bottom are: fresh water
port, hot tank connections, and salt water port. |
The wheelhouse is in the process of being wired. |
A large sliding window provide ventilation. |
The captain's chair is just hard plastic it will be fitted
with cushions when the boat is closer to being completed.
Wiring a boat can be complicated but Frank knows were all
these wires have to end up. |
This window from the hauling station protects electronics
and allows the operator to see all the important information. |
Aluminum removable radar stand fabricated by our in-house
welder John Myers, it is the first of its kind built at our
shop. |
Deck lights, speakers, and tons of deck space. |
Stainless steel exhaust port in the stern of the boat polished
to a mirror finish. |
Diamond Sea-glaze split-swing door allows for the top to
be open during operation so the captain can reach inside the
wheelhouse without opening the entire door. |
The boat must be getting close to being finished the cushions
have been installed on the chair. |
White Starboard and bronzed Lexan give this companion way
a very clean and modern look. |
Very simple electronics, everything positioned for optimum
visibility and operation. |
Two aluminum doors allow for easy access to the engine
room from the forward area. |
This white Starboard battery box cover came out exceptional. |
