600hp Deutz with dual wet exhaust will power this 42' Mussel Ridge lobster boat.

With a total of 13 windows in the wheelhouse there won't be any troublesome blind spots.

Fiberglass handrails on the roof and trunk act a handgrips and also function as water diverters.

The split wheelhouse will keep all electronics dry and allow the operator to steam out to his traps in comfort.

Dual ram stainless steel steering system equipped with stainless steel fittings on the hoses, the pipe to the left is a clean-out that allows access to the propeller from the deck of the boat.

The hauling area dash dent will put all the controls at the fingertips of the owner, these areas are built depending on the size of the captain.

A diner bench inside the wheelhouse will be utilized for family trips, the bench on the right has a built-in cooler that will drain melting ice overboard.

The below deck rope locker will keep the usual pile of rope under the hauler to a more manageable size, great for hauling strings of traps.

This curved detail is one of the signature features on all of our modern boats

This wedge on the wet exhaust will create a low pressure system that will actually vacuum the exhaust out of the boat.

All the green gel coat on this boat had to be coated with clear poly paint, the pigment in this color prevents the green from hardening on its own.

Gray areas on the dash outline where the electronics will be, it also cuts down on the hand prints that will be left behind once the boat is in service.

The stainless steel bow bit and bow chaulks are made at Clark Island Boat by our talented staff welder, John Myers.

Double bunks will offer sleeping accommodations for four and below the bottom bunk there are three large storage areas.

The workbench on the starboard side will be equipped with a vice and has a storage area for a toolbox.

These small scuppers in the toe rail will allow for drainage and keep the water from accumulating on the side decks.

This davit is more of our welder's handy work, it will have a cleat welded on the back and be shinned before completion.

A propeller cleanouts tube extenders to the deck of the boat, a knife tied to a gaff might save the prop in an emergency situation.

The 25 breaker panel, supplied by Ocean Pursuits, will supply power to all the 12 volt appliances on the boat such as running lights, radar, heater, etc.

The hydraulic system was started today, once all the hoses are connected I will make sure to make these hoses look a lot cleaner, right now all i have is a mess.

Battery connections are make with heavy duty battery lugs and the wire is marine grade 2/0.

Fold-down cleats and stainless steel tie downs will be used to dock the boat and tie stacks of lobster traps down.

A closer look at a fold-down cleat, these cleats are becoming a very popular addition to most of our boats

This heavy duty tie down located on the stern of the boat can be used for towing.

This is one of two hydraulic water pumps that will fill and empty the below deck lobster tanks.

This is a good shot of the wet exhaust system it comes out of the motor at 6" and connects into an 8" pipe that exits out the bottom of the boat.

A remote mounted hydraulic filter makes for an easy change when its time for service.

The Diamond Seaglaze door preped and ready for installation.

The motor panel and bildge panel are mounted in the main bulkhead.

The bus heater in this bench will warm the inside of the wheelhouse.

The back of the electical panel starting to take shape, various subpanels make for a easy to follow wiring system.

A 3000 watt inverter will convert the 12volt power into 110 to supply power to the computer, coffee maker, and fridge.

On the starboard side of the motor in the engine room there is a 40 gallon hydraulic tank.

Next to the fuel filter there are two valves that can control which fuel tank the fuel comes from and which one the fuel is returned to.

The outside working offers comfortable use of the compass, controls, hauler handle, steering wheel, and water pump handle.

Radar stand built at Clark Island Boat Works will contain the radar antenna, two VHF antenna, AM/FM antenna, cell phone antenna, and anchor light.

Fortress aluminum anchor mounted on the forward deck should give the operator a chance to save the boat in an emergency situation.
